Our Founder’s Story of How Project Amal ou Salam Came To Be

Project Amal ou Salam founder Nousha Kabawat recently wrote about how ‪#‎ProjectAmalouSalam‬ began for the University of Toronto‘s Hart House blog.

“Project Amal ou Salam (Project Hope and Peace) helps children traumatized by war rediscover their innocence, creativity and capacity for happiness. Today, Nousha tells us how Project Amal ou Salam came to be.”

Rebuilding Syria

Remember Mohammad the brilliant young boy that was featured by Channel 4 who was “building his very own Syria” in the middle of war torn Aleppo?

Well we are happy to let you all know that the always persistent ‪#‎ProjectAmalouSalam‬ team in Aleppo has found him smile emoticon We are designing a special program just for him and getting him a ton of material to continue to rebuild Syria with the help of our team. We have also asked him to run his own “Rebuild your town” workshop under the guidance of our team for the rest of the kids of the neighborhood because we want to see him grow as a leader and to learn to ‪#‎Empower‬ those around him.

We are so excited about this! Stay tuned- and keep spreading the love!
