Jordan Spring Workshops

Save the dateProject Amal ou Salam’s next workshops will be in Jordan, April 1-6.

We’ve become a lot more than just a programme. I think we’ve become a movement of people who share the same beliefs and share the same ideology. You’re always thinking what can I offer to Syria? I think Project Amal ou Salam is giving people a way to take their own expertise and give that to the kids. Which is so refreshing and rewarding.

If you want to join our movement and apply for this amazing volunteering opportunity, send an email to projectamalousalam@gmail.com with your CV and a motivation letter.

Twice a year, around 30 international volunteers gather from all over the world to join Project Amal ou Salam and the Children of Syria in working for peace.

We organise five volunteer-run workshops for kids aged 5 to 14: arts, music, photography, sports and health&hygiene. Click here to learn more about our workshops.

We also organise a Career Day for older kids to introduce different career paths and encourage young men and women to think positively about their own future.

Insight on conflict

Project Amal ou Salam has been featured on Insight on Conflict, a platform published by Peace Direct as a resource on local peacebuilding around the world.

We are very proud to be recognised as one of the projects to watch in the region, a point of reference with regards to the work with Syrian child refugees.

Our presence is now well established and we once again wish to thank all those who made it possible with their dedication, love and unfailing support.

Anwar’s letter to Project Amal ou Salam

One of our students, Anwar who is 15 years old, read this letter on Monday welcoming the CRDC students and volunteers to Project Amal ou Salam School:

“Actually the most important thing we learned from Amal ou Salam is that we are not different and the people from Europe and USA understand our suffering unlike what we see in the media and what we heard from some people who want to divide us. We learned that most people in the world try to help us in everything they could, especially those who volunteer in Amal ou Salam. Their smiles and souls spread love in our tired heart and wash away our sadness and tears.

They think that they are our friends but they didn’t know that they became our family and we account every minute to meet them again. They took a large part from our hearts. I had always prayed to go back in time before the war but today I pray to God to see our teachers in Amal ou Salam and learned from them how to build Syrian future.”

Thank you so much, Anwar, you fill our hearts with joy and pride and we feel grateful to have you and the other Children of Syria in our lives!

Keep spreading the love!
